* - - - - - groove slam, work it back, F I L T E R T H A T. B A B Y B U M P T H A T T R A C K - - - » Ser sat on the couch that was in one of the empty rooms of the Youth Center, humming a bit with an open back of Oreos lying next to her as she wrote in her notebook. She moved a strand of her brown hair behind her ear as she read over the start of the paper she had written for her Contemporary Issues class. She hummed more, wondering what else she was suppose to write on the Current Event paper. She groaned internally, closing the notebook and running her hands through her hair, annoyed at herself for not having any idea of what to write.
She heard the door open on the other end of the room, and didn't look up all too quickly, but heard the sound of Converse. “Hey Jayden.” She said, her eyes traveling up to look at the blonde boy, getting up and walking over to him, hugging the boy. She smiled at him, her hazel eyes contrasting with his blue ones before grabbing the Oreos from the couch and offering them to Jayden.
“Want some?” She asked him, lifting an eyebrow. She waited for his response and then walked back over to the couch, tossing the notebook off to the side and gesturing for Jayden to sit down. She ploped down in her original spot and waited for the other boy to sit down. “Sp, why is a Garwin in a Youth Center hm?” Serena asked, smirking a bit at the younger blonde boy.

After Jayden had walked in and greeted Serena with a hug, and took a orea from her he sat down next to her. He took a bite out of the round chocolate cookie and waited until he finished eating it to talk. He shrugged his shoulders at Serena's question, "The question is Winchester why can't I be at a youth center?" his pink lips twisted up into a smirk as he looked into her hazel eyes.
He just chuckled and stretched while on the couch, he then cracked his neck a bit. "Just trying to unwind really." He answered her question, "I don't wanna go to Nicky's yet and well, the youth center is pretty relaxing. What are you doing here?" He rose an eyebrow as he stole another cookie. He grinned before he broke half of it off into his mouth.
He then looked around the room, curiously. It wasn't that he hadn't been in this room, this was basically Serena's room in the entire youth center, which was why he came in, he was looking for her. Serena had to be one of the girl's who he'd actually trust and didn't totally blow off, because he knew Serena was better than all the other girls at Ipswich, Serena didn't give a rat's ass about money or status.
She was down to earth. "How've you been?" He asked when he turned to face her again, leaning against the back of the couch and placing a foot under his leg, to make himself feel like he was at home.

"I am personally just being alone for once. Dad's on a hunt, Mom's PMSing, and I need a break." She laughed a bit, knowing Jayden would be getting that TMI look in a few seconds when she looked at him. She moved some of her hair behind her ears and looked at Jayden closely, taking another Oreo and taking a bite. She shrugged her shoulders a bit at Jayden's last question.
"Okay, I guess. With some stuff, I'm kinda off, but nothing too big kiddo." She ruffled his blonde hair and laughed a bit at his expression, knowing it would get her noogied or something sooner or later. Ser closely looked him up and down and quirked a brow at the younger boy. Sometimes she wondered how badly he'd end up being a clone of his father, but at least he wasn't a Caleb. Caleb was scary when he was angry. Very scary. She took another bite of an Oreo and grabbed her tote, pulling out her laptop. She quickly typed in her password to show the Internet window already up.
"Trying to also find a hunt around. I need to get out of school for a bit. That place could drive someone to suicide." She chuckled, her eyes glancing at the scare on her left forearm, before looking back at the screen. She secretly set the webcam that was originally built into the laptop, on, and was trying to take a picture of Jayden, and quickly pressing her lips to his cheek when the key was pressed to make a screen shot. She chuckled and moved away, putting an elbow on his shoulder.
"So, you've been MIA lately. What's been going on at the Garwin home?"She asked, putting her head on her elbow, looking at him at her close, breaking his personal bubble, position.

When Serena messed up his hair Jayden narrowed his eyes and swatted her hand away. "Not my hair!" He whined annoyed, "Do you know how hard it is to get it to it's perfect messy state?" He laughed then cleared his throat becoming serious, "What's so off? Do you want to talk about it?" He furrowed his eye brows looking into her eyes for a bit and then looked away.
Then when she mentioned the hunt his ears perked and his eyes lit up. "Can I come on the hunt?" He grinned, "C'mon, I won't get in the way!" he exclaimed, "It'll be fun, you know it will, I wanna kick some demon, or whatever ass!" He had said before he saw her look down, he frowned. "Don-" he was cut off by the kiss Serena placed on his cheek and took a picture with her laptop. "Serena!" He narrowed his eyes, "you know I like being behind the camera rather than being in front of one." He chuckled sticking out his tongue at the older brunette in front of him.
He sighed, pursing his lips as he answered her last question, not caring that much that she was trying to burst his personal bubble. "Well." he rubbed the back of his neck, "Dad's making me do shit to help with his business rep and it's just stupid. Everyone says the family business is in good hands because I'm smart and skipped a couple of grades to stay with you guys and everything. But i like photography and I don't know art. I don't like business. My mom's the only one who understands but whatever. Maybe I'll learn to love the family business soon, I am only sixteen." he added shaking his head.
"So about that hunt." He chuckled nudging her on her shoulder, "c'mon... you know you want me to help." He beamed.

Ser laughed under her breath and nodded sarcastically. "I'm not letting you hunt. My dad barely let me hunt. What makes you think I'd even consider taking you on a hunt?” She quirked a brow up at him, smiling as she laughed a bit. She leaned away from his shoulder and opened the screenshot, quickly saving it and sticking out her tongue at Jayden. “Victory!” She yelled, laughing a bit. She grabbed another small cookie, taking a quick bite of it before scanning through her book-marked pages.
“Well, at least you have an idea on what you'll be doing when you graduate. I'm still clueless. You've got skills and potential, unlike me. You better use that too your advantage.” She wagged her finger at him, before ending her sentence by poking his nose lightly, smiling at the younger boy. She ran the other hand through her hair, looking over the Firefox page in front of her hazel eyes. She typed quickly into the small box on the page, her fingers moving quickly over the keyboard. Once she had entered it in, she closed the laptop and looked over at Jayden.
“You'll go far kid, believe me.” She smiled at him as she spoke softly, her voice holding a somewhat newer tone to it. “I'll be shocked if I can even get a decent job. I'm the crazy person who ended up with the scar because of it.” She gave him a serious look, well, on a level anyways. She shook her head, laughing as she opened the laptop again, starting to look at random documents in there, showing some of her poetry. She quickly shut it when one that was very heartfelt came up. “Okay, that was nothing!” She exclaimed, holding the laptop tightly, trying to make sure Jayden didn't try to get it.

He dropped the hunting thing and shook his head at her saying she didn't have potential. "What are you talking about, my mom's been saying you have potential! You should know you have potential, I mean when we had to write that story... You got the highest grade in the-" When he saw the poem flash through the screen he qurked and eyebrow at Serena. "Why don't you go into creative writing, I mean obvious... Wait what was that poem about?" He asked her furrowing his eye brows, turning to look at her.

Ser laughed nervously a bit at his question. She bit down on her bottom lip again and opened the laptop again and placed it slightly on Jayden's lap. “If you laugh at it, I'll kick your ass kiddie pool.” She said, waiting for him to read over the poem that took residence on her laptop screen.
"The sun is falling down the tears seem to all flow you just keep thinking your in a nightmare and you retaliate, screaming “No.”.
You're just another soul lost someone who was left all alone stuck playing in peoples stupid games making you miss more, and more, your home.
Losing this makes you crazy the pain has become so strong moving on without that one small life makes moving completely wrong."
Ser looked at him closely, trying to make sure he wasn't laughing at her little poem. “I know, it's crap.” She said, taking back the laptop and closing the poem and fixing the setting on her laptop to make the Start Bar a purple shade. She glared at the heating vent in the room and took off her flannel jacket, revealing the new tattoo placed on her upper right arm. She reached over and grabbed her Green Tea, taking a quick sip from it and looking at Jayden.

Jay read over the poem, his mouth dropped open at how easily it flowed and made sense. He had to read it over and over, it was just so, interesting and it gave him insight on how Serena was feeling, or how she's seen someone who has been feeling that way, he most likely believed it was the first of the two.
"Serena," Jayden turned to look into her hazel eyes with a dumbfounded look upon his face. "That's really good, and I would never laugh at anything you've written, you really should put that in that contest at school. Hell for one hundred dollars you should do it for the hell of it, print it out and I'll give it to my mom, and you know, since she's a judge." Jayden chuckled winking, "I think we've got first place right here." He grinned.
"C'mon, it's easy money and your writing certainly is not crap." He said in a 'matter of fact' tone. "Trust me, I know what crap is, and that isn't crap."
Then he saw her new tatoo, "Very nice Serena, Darth Vader Hello Kitty, why am I not surprise?" He laughed and then chuckled, remembering that he had gotten a new tatoo behind his mother's back and almost forgot to show her. "I got a new one too! But don't tell my mom because she doesn't know, she only let me get the a7x one because she knows what decent music is and loves M Shadows. But anyways." He took off his Beatles t-shirt when he got up from the couch. With his chest bare Serena was able to see the pentagram, the symbol for the covenant, well sorta, on his left pec.
"See? Isn't it mad awesome? I think it is, Mom's gonna flip when she sees it but hell, it's better than that Gryffindor tatoo she has on her shoulder blade." He rolled his eyes, secretly wanting a Slytherin one himself.

Ser smiled a bit at his tattoo. "Nice. Although, if your mom somes to Swim Meet you might need water proof makeup covering it. I won't tell her...yet." She snickered and then her mind clicked back to waht she wanted to do.
"You mind helping me? I wanna stick these up over the room, and the building." Ser pulled a few things of post it notes from her tote, and smiled at him. They all contained plain uplifting messages and and the first one just said "You Are Beautiful! :]". Ser got up, and handed Jayden a pack of the post it notes, and started sticking a few around the wall near her.
"I found a site, and it had a ton of people do this, just to help peoples self esteem." She smiled more and stack one that said "Your a Sexxi Mama!" on Jayden's forehead and laughed a bit. She went back to posting them around the room, and ran to put some on the see through window, that let you see the people in the hall way, so the people walking by saw them. She ran back over to Jayden and had finished her stack of post it notes. She quickly went to check over the ones he had, making sure that they were all good, and took half of the pile.
“C'mon! A little help?” She asked,, laughing a bit and opening the room's door , running out quickly and sticking the post it's around random places. Once they were all gone, she ran back in the room, panting for breath. “Thanks bud.” She hugged Jayden, tightly for what she could compared to him anyways.
